I just wanted to say that I am very lucky because my melanoma was diagnosed very early, so I will just need to have them excised and no further treatment at this time. So PAY ATTENTION to your body. If something looks or feels differently or wrong, don't be afraid to ask your doctor! Early detection is the key in all cancers.
Since my surgery is on October 11th, we won't be able to meet in Raleigh, NC for the Bruins game, but hopefully we can make the January 14, 2012 game up in Raleigh against Carolina. Or who knows, maybe we'll get a chance to make the trek up to BOSTON to see them at home! Wouldn't that be AWESOME!
